...........What if you'd like to paint the moon
..............in colors soft as whispered air,
..............or draw a few stars, then an extra one
..............to put in your pocket a spare?

..............Or what if you'd like to jump real high
..............and land in an air balloon to ride,
..............where lots of kids all different from you
..............can glide together worldwide?

..............Or what if you'd rather talk with trees
..............with long, wavy hair to swing upon,
..............who listen to secrets and never do tell
..............and squirm when their limbs are climbed on?

..............Or what if you saw a clown juggle bees
..............that sneeze, because it tickles their nose
..............and the only way to make the clown stop,
..............is to yell a great big, “WHOA!”

.....................It's possible, if you can dream . . .

..............What if you'd see a really big bear,
..............with silly hair like peacock plumes,
..............who needs a nap in the afternoon
..............and wants to, in your room?

..............Or what if boy cats whistled off key
..............through teeth so big they had just one!
..............Or what if girl cats played trombones
..............from a tree, on a limb, just for fun?

....................It's possible, if you can dream . . .

..............What if your body gets heavy as rocks?
..............And what if you're mouth disappears?
..............What if your feet no longer can walk?
..............And what if the nighttime is near?

..............Just climb in bed and close your eyes,
..............for it's time to sleep, it seems.
..............What if's wait, and they'll wait for you
..............to start on your journey of dreams! ...............................
